Wreck of the Day

a tad bit of advice from a friend

Hang on to what is important-drop the rest.

Almost on time isn't good enough.

If you don't do it someone else will.

You learn by missing.

Great ideas go forward with determination.

Don't beat yourself up about the sacrifices.

Earn trust and build relationships.

Recognize when you need help.

You don't have to have a freaking clue what you are doing, as long as you are doing something.

Advice is sometimes good to take.

Risk is ok.

Know people...stay connected to them.

Tools are more important than anything as long as they are useful.

Use your friends, that's what they are there for.

Fill the walls with ideas.

Don't be afraid of not paying your rent.

No one is going to buy it if it's already out there.

Step back and look at what you are making.

Show your enthusiasm.

If you want to keep it...you have something good going on.

Be aggressive...knock on doors...show people your work.

Share everything.

You don't have to be big to be successful.

Put your name on it.

Gamble everything.

Do what feeds your soul.

I like this, alot and I think I'm actually going to listen to it ... ♥

so...

Life is ... complicated.
In the least.
I've got insomnia.
It's strange.

school is fun! and keeping me busy, so I barely have time to blog.

Dustin hasn't called me, messaged me or commented me in 3 days. And he's been signed on twice. This saddens me. I miss him.

I'm thinking I'm not going to end up transferring. It doesn't make sense on many levels:
1. Many of my credits won't transfer.
2. I like liberal arts colleges.(or maybe the idea?!?!).
3. I'm established and well-known here.
4.It's close to the rentals.
5. I have many opportunities here.
6. Great English program.
7. I want to study abroad next year, anyway.

Okay, I'll leave it at that, but there are more ... a frighteningly large amount more.

I love my classes this year! They're so awesome! Alright, gotta run and do some work -- I'm writing a sonnet, if it's any good, I"ll post it here in the near future.

i am happy. and sad. Yes, that's possible.

The weather sucks. I wanted to mudslide tonight but it's too dark. Tomorrow I feel should most definitely be a mudslide day. After brunch perhaps.

Toga party was a blast. I met so many cool people at Dickinson. Their Arts Haus is awesome. And Megan's house is awesome.

He called again. Four times. And messaged me. That makes my heart smile, seriously. Okay, off to doing something -- perhaps a nap and schoolwork? Probably not.

He called me again last night. He truly makes me happy.

So, I'm thinking about transferring. I need a school that has a really good study abroad program, like F&M, but that has a nursing program as well. I'm not sure. Or, as MegO said -- I could always go to PA after F&M. But, it just seems so pointless to spend 4 years here dicking around. Haha -- it does make for some very fun classes, though. I do want to go into advertising/marketing. I've always wanted to be in the music business. Why didn't I just go to a school for that? Silly me. It would have made more sense. As usual, I fucked up again.
On the brightside, my classes are awesome. Bad Love, Sylvia & Ted, Creative Writing and Modern Dance Techniques.
I know you're jealous.

I'm going to Dickinson tonight to visit MegO and go to a Toga Party. I've never been to one before! I'm not going to lie, I"m excited! w00t.
